Convoy nursing home goes for national honour

LIAM Deeney and Amanda Torrens of Brentwood Manor Private Nursing Home, Convoy, are just days away from representing Donegal at the 2012 Nursing Homes Ireland Care Awards.

Liam and Amanda are finalists in the Nursing Home Innovation Award category and is one of 24 finalists going forward to the national final from 300+ nominations.

They will represent Donegal and Brentwood Manor Private Nursing Home, Convoy, at the prestigious national awards ceremony that will take place in Citywest Hotel, Dublin, on November 15 and the excitement and anticipation for the awards ceremony has been building in the home for a number of weeks.

With just two weeks to go, the excitement within the nursing home is building immensely. Members of the community are visiting the centre to view the wonderful facilities which Brentwood Manor have to offer, not to mention the Innovation itself – the “Men’s Shed”, where the male residents are as busy as ever inside enjoying every moment of their golden years in Convoy.

The management, staff, residents, their families and the Convoy community would like to take this opportunity to wish Amanda and Liam all the very best at the awards ceremony on November 15 in the City West Hotel, Dublin.
