Convoy and Glenea meet in title decider

The destination of the Temple Domestic Appliances Division One league crown will be known his Sunday when Convoy Arsenal and Glenea United square off in a title decider at Orchard Park at 2pm.

There has been little between the sides all season, and they have each won 13 matches, but Glenea go into the final day one point ahead.

That leaves them in pole position, but the fact that they have to go to Orchard Park provides an interesting sub-plot.

Both sides have already been promoted to the top tier but they would dearly like to conclude the campaign with silverware.

“It’s going to be a great game,” Convoy manager Mickey Rodgers told the Donegal News this week.

“If you had said at the start of the season that you would have a shoot-out on the last day to win the league at home, you’d have taken it.”
