Contact council on NPPR to freeze penalties

Donegal-County-Council-Crest

DONEGAL County Council advises that making contact with their offices or the NPPR Bureau by e-mail or telephone before the deadline can freeze any additional penalties that might otherwise come into effect on 1st September.

The six month period during which further NPPR late penalties cease to accumulate in respect of non compliant properties is due to expire at midnight on Sunday 31st August 2014. Anyone who has failed to pay the charge on a second property since it came in in 2009 now owes €4,220. If not paid, from Monday they will owe €7,230.

Persons wishing to settle their liability can still do so online at www.nppr.ie

Significant numbers have paid the NPPR liability since the 1st March and many more payments are being processed at present.

Donegal County Council is aware that many more people want to settle their NPPR liabilities before the expiry of the deadline on 31st August.

Some people may need to clarify aspects of the liability and as a consequence significant numbers of people are contacting Donegal County Council by telephone. Due to the huge increase in the numbers calling our offices, not all callers will get through and we apologise for this inconvenience.

Contact by Telephone
To facilitate callers, Donegal County Council will be taking calls from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 30 August 2014. To contact the Council on Saturday 30 August 2014 you must call one of the following numbers:

074 91 72247
074 91 72234
074 91 94245

Although the Council will not be taking calls on Sunday 31 August 2014, callers can leave a voicemail message with their own contact details and details of the property they want to register at the following numbers:

074 91 94245
074 97 24409
