Lidl has officially commenced construction on a new €7 million store in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal, with plans to open in early 2025.
Located on Station Road (R238), near the town centre, the new 2,209 square metre store will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including an off-license and 103 parking spaces.
Planning permission for the development was granted in November 2023 following an appeal to An Bord Pleanála.
In a statement, a Lidl spokesperson said: “Lidl are delighted to confirm that we have commenced construction at our site in Carndonagh, Co Donegal and look forward to delivering a new store in the community in early 2025.”
The retailer is expected to generate up to 30 new jobs, with recruitment already underway through online listings.
