The concert was an initiative of An Cathaoirleach, Cllr. Kennedy, who was keen to ‘highlight the very serious issue of domestic violence and abuse and to raise funds for Donegal Domestic Violence Services, which enables them to provide safe homes for families and individuals who need protection.’

Cllr. Kennedy and Dr. Hainsworth would like to extend sincere thanks to the public who supported the event in such numbers, to Moya and Mairéad and all of the artists who performed so well on the night, and to the team at An Grianán Theatre and the staff at Donegal County Council who ensured that the concert ran smoothly and to the highest professional standards.
