Competition site partners with Ardara Agricultural Show

As Dreams4less celebrates a year of prize giveaways to the people of Donegal, the online competition site is keen to partner with fundraising initiatives in the county and beyond.

The site has just partnered with Ardara Agricultural Show to run its fundraising draw taking place on Saturday, August 13 with tickets now available for sale at www.dreams4less.com.

The e-commerce enabled website run by Ardara man Paul Gallagher (of the Big Francie’s Bar family) welcomes hearing from other fundraising initiatives who may also benefit from its user-friendly system of online ticket selling and transparent means of selecting winners.

It has already helped the local Loughros Point Rowing Club with equipment to participate in the All-Ireland Coastal Championship and Na Rossa GAA with funding their new pitch in Lettermacaward.

Website founder, Paul Gallagher said he spent the time building the website to make it as good as it can be and it now offers a useful additional function, as a resource for fundraising.

“It enables the public to easily buy draw tickets online at Dreams4Less.com and even more conveniently through Facebook, without even needing to sign-up to the site,” he said.

In its first year of operation, Dreams4Less has given away over €50,000 in prizes and €2,500 in charitable donations, as a portion of every ticket sale goes towards supporting in-need communities.

Prize categories range from home and garden to fashion, hobbies to technology.

Recent popular prizes have included iPads and iPhones, Sony PlayStations, electric scooters and hotel stays.

Among the current live competitions is a draw this weekend for concert tickets to Garth Brooks at Croke Park in September and a monthly free draw for site credit.

However, Paul says even within the last year he has seen a dramatic change in the prize draws that are attracting the most interest.

Paul said there has been a noticeable shift in recent months, since the cost-of-living crisis began.

“Draws for cash prizes, shopping vouchers, site credit, and particularly home heating oil are proving hugely popular,” he said.

“It’s another reason we’re keen to help community led initiatives like Ardara Shows by offering them use of the site in their fundraising efforts,” says Paul.

The Ardara Show 2022 Draw tickets are on sale for €5 on the Dreams4Less Facebook page and Dreams4Less.com.

Prizes are:
1st Prize: €1000 Holiday Voucher
2nd Prize: €500 Fuel Voucher
3rd Prize: €100 One4All Voucher

Paul will also be selling tickets from a stand at “The Shows” in its new location at Ardara GAA Grounds at Pearse Memorial Park.

The draw will take place on the Dreams4Less Facebook page using a live feed and the Google random number generator will select the winners on the evening of the show day, Saturday August 13.

Paul says it’s a pleasure to be able to support the Ardara Show, especially after three years break.

“It’s a big event for the whole community and was always the highlight of the summer when I was growing up, as it is for a whole new generation like my own kids now,” he said.
