Come Farm With Me series set to conclude with ‘bumper’ webinar next week

Agri Aware’s Come Farm With Me series is set to come to a conclusion for the academic year with a ‘bumper’ webinar taking place next Wednesday, November 26 at 11am.

All five farmers taking part in this year’s series are set to join a live webinar to answer questions from primary school students tuning in from across the country on all aspects of Irish agriculture and food production.

This year’s farmers come from a wide range of farming enterprises and include Shay Galvin, a tillage farmer from Co. Limerick, Jim White, a dairy farmer from Co. Tipperary, Annie McGuinness, a sheep farmer from Co. Louth, Catherine Smyth, a beef farmer from Co. Meath and Shane McAuliffe, a pig farmer from Co. Kerry.

This year, students have had the opportunity to watch five ‘Day in the Life’ videos on the Agri Aware YouTube channel at their own pace and complete accompanying worksheets.

Next week’s webinar will offer students, who have tuned into each episode, an opportunity to ask the farmers any questions they have in relation to each of their farming enterprises and also provide each farmer with an opportunity to share any updates they have on their farm since their episode was aired.
