DONEGAL is set to face another cold snap with temperatures expected to drop to as low as minus three degrees tonight.
A spokesperson from Met Éireann has told the Donegal News that the weather is set to turn very cold over the next few days.
“You will see a cold front move down over the country this morning which will bring temperatures down significantly behind it.
“This morning will start off quite wet with plenty of showers in parts of Donegal and as that front moves through in the later hours of the morning, temperatures will start to drop down significantly.
“Some of these showers may fall as sleet on higher ground this afternoon,”e said.
With more wintery precipitation forecasted for tonight, we may see some falls of sleet or even snow on higher ground.
Going forward into Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, temperatures will be quite cold but most wintery precipitation is set to fall tonight and into Tuesday morning.
