Two men are in custody after gardaí seized cocaine worth €105,000 in Lifford.
The drugs were seized following an operation yesterday.
A spokesperson said, “As a result of an intelligence led operation, a vehicle was stopped at an MIT Checkpoint at approximately 3.10pm, yesterday afternoon, in Drumbuoy, Lifford.
“The vehicle was searched resulting in the discovery of approximately 1.5 kilos of suspected cocaine in a plastic bag concealed inside a clothes bag in the boot of the vehicle.
“The occupants of the vehicle, two males in their 20s, were arrested under suspicion of committing an offence contrary to Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station.
“They are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.”
