THE Competitions Controls Committee (CCC) will present a draft fixture plan to clubs at next month’s county committee meeting.
CCC Chairman Denis Ellis and new CCC Secretary, Declan Martin, have been busy getting a draft schedule planned in recent weeks.
“We will have a fixture schedule for the February meeting,” Ellis told clubs at last week’s county committee sitting.
“Clubs will then have three weeks to rally around with their thoughts and ideas for it.”
Ellis said he had met with new Donegal senior football boss Rory Gallagher on the subject of fixtures.
He was responding to Mary Kelly (Ardara) who suggested the CCC meet with Gallagher and club managers.
“It would be a good idea,” she said.
“Every year there are the same problems: ‘When is this?’ ‘When is that?’. It would help to relieve a lot of pressure on the CCC if the county manager could come in to talk to the managers and club managers or officials.”
