Clubs to appeal punishment

By Chris McNulty
The clubs were notified of the penalties by letter this week – more than three months after a mass brawl at the end of the Championship game between the two teams in Glenties.
The two clubs were fined €2,500 each while Naomh Conaill players Brendan McDyre and Thomas Donoghue were hit with eight-week bans.
Both clubs have the right to appeal the decision to the Donegal Hearings Committee and both clubs have confirmed to the Donegal News that they will submit an appeal.
