Dungloe made the long trip to Carndonagh on Thursday last. Dungloe played well in the first half with Ben Boyle, Philip Rodgers and particularly Dara Ward impressing in the first half by getting out in front if his man in every occasion and winning three converted frees. Harry Noble was excellent in goal and Dungloe led by two at half time. Dungloe tired in the second half and the absence of some of their regulars began to tell. The game finished with a twenty one yard free for Dungloe, which if converted into a goal would have sealed victory but it was well struck but narrowly wide if the post. Harry Noble and Dara Ward were both very impressive but man if the match was Harry Noble in goal with gear stops and reflex saves and brave clearances. The result was immaterial as Dungloe have already qualified for the league semi-final and play Donegal town in that game away next Thursday.
Dungloe U10 Hurlers traveled to Convoy Centre of excellence on Sunday past to compete in an all County Blitz. The Dungloe team played consistently well including Eoghan Walsh, Conor Diver, Evan McFadden, Damian McGowan, Philip Noble, John James Blaney and John Paul Bonner and Cain Bonner.
Dungloe played Letterkenny Gaels, St. Eunans, Setanta, Burt and Carndonagh and won all five of their games.  Congratulations to Dungloe and to their coach PJ Walsh and mentors.

The All County Semi Final took place in Glenties on Sunday evening. Mac Cumhaills were up against Killybegs in what turned out to be a very close and entertaining game. Killybegs started the better of the two teams and opened up a two point lead, but they squandered a lot of chances and this allowed Mac Cumhaills to get into the game. A quick counterattack saw Karl Doherty score an excellent goal and this was followed by Luke Gavigan goal, the result of a great solo run. More scores from Oisin Gallen and Alex Mc Geehan saw Mac Cumhaills increase their lead but Killybegs came back with a goal and a point to leave only four points in it at half time. Killybegs struck again after half time with a good goal and some excellent 45’s from Ryan Cunningham. mac Cumhaills never panicked and kept fighting for every ball. more points from Oisin Gallen, Anthony Gallagher and Chad Mc Sorley saw Mac Cumhaills book their Final place. Full time score Mac Cumhaills 3-11 Killybegs 1-13.County final is this Friday. Venue to be confirmed.
The U14 girls won their first division one group game against Muff on Thursday by a score of 6-14 to 2.04. Away to St Eunans on Tuesday evening. Home to Moville the following week.

Seniors: CLG BnaG 0-13 Red Hughs 0-11 Two more points in the bag for the Seniors after a very hard fought victory over Red Hughs on Saturday night. In a game played in difficult conditions it took the boys a while to get going but bar the first ten minutes they dominated the first half. The defence were rock solid and the boys were turning the ball over all over the pitch, while at the other end Christopher Barrett and Kane Barrett were a handful. The half time whistle came at the perfect moment as an almighty downpour saw both sides seek the refuge of the changing rooms with score 0-8 to 0-2. Na Galloglaigh got the first score of the second half but Red Hughs put in a great fight back to eventually bring just two between the sides after scoring five unanswered points. The blues managed to get scores at the right times to keep Red Hughs at arms length but Red Hughs never gave up and kept fighting to make for a nervy finale. Cathal Mc Gettigan scored a fine point in injury time to put three between the sides again but Red Hughs kept coming at them. A goalmouth scramble at the death was defended brilliantly but Red Hughs still managed a point. The resultant kick out was won by the blues and they managed to keep the ball in the Red Hughs half as the seconds ticked down until referee Ciaran Molloy blew the final whistle after five minutes of injury time. The lads showed they can hold their nerve now and have made it four wins out of four. No game for the Seniors next week due to the Donegal game however the Reserves take on Naomh Columba at home on Saturday. Next up for the Seniors is a home game against Naomh Colmcille on the 31st. Team: Caolan Mc Gettigan, Brandon Toye, Sean Black, Gavin Grier, Dean Burgess, Gary Merritt, Oísin Barrett, Luke Barrett (0-2), James Doyle, Cathal McGettigan (0-6), Pauric Curley (0-1), Darragh Black (0-2), Kane Barrett, Chippy Barrett (0-2), Paddy Peoples. The whole team played really well with Sinead McCahill and Roisin Boyce outstanding. Rachel Roarty and Shauna McBride also played well. Next up for the U14 Girls is a home match against Red Hughs at home on Thursday evening at 7pm
U12s: The U12s travelled to Downings and played two matches last night. The A Team were unfortunately beat, after a poor first half they played well in the second but just fell short at the end. Good performances from Eoin O’Donnell and Bruce Macauley. The B Team had a great win in a very tight match with some great displays from Barry Donnelly, Eoin McGettigan, Aisling Irwin and Paul Ryan. Training takes place every Thursday at 6pm and the next games are away to St Eunans next Monday.
U8 Blitz: Our U8s had their first blitz of the year at St Michaels on Friday night. Many thanks to all the players and parents who braved the terrible weather on the night. We beat St Michaels comfortably in our first match with good displays from ‘Goal Machine’ Ryan McElhinney, Ultan Blaney, Killian Hagan and Calvagh O’Donnell. We then played very well to beat Letterkenny Gaels with great displays from Daibhid Lynch, Jason McAteer and Maeve McClean. Our final game was against a very skilful Fanad Gaels team who beat us after a very tight battle despite determined displays from Conor Houston, Aaron Burns, and the outstanding Joseph Barrett. A special mention also to the efforts of Dara Sheridan and Shay Cannon. Next Blitz is in Milford in 2 weeks

Naomh Colmcille
The seniors and reserves experienced contrasting fortunes over the weekend with the seniors suffering a loss for the second week in succession while the reserves returned to winning ways. The u14s lost out in the all-county Division 2 league semi-final after a gallant display against Kilcar.
The seniors’ took on Naomh Brid at home on Sunday having won at Ballintra in the opening fixture of the league. However Naomh Brid emerged victorious with a full time score of Naomh Colmcille 0-8 1-9 Naomh Brid. A home match against Burt is scheduled for next Saturday.
The reserves got revenge on their opening day loss at Naomh Brid when they defeated the visitors on a Naomh Colmcille 4-7 1-5 Naomh Brid scoreline.
The u16s were defeated at Buncrana on Friday evening.
There was disappointment for the Naomh Colmcille U14s when they were beaten by Kilcar in the all-county Division 2 league semi-final at Naomh Brid on Saturday. A number of usual players being unavailable meant that it was a struggle to even field 13 players. The team on the day was CJ Gibson, Daniel Mugan, Jason Fitzpatrick, Ryan Higgins, Oran Devine, Oran Downey, Mark Friel, Ryan O’Donnell, Brendan Barr, Rory Simmons, Jordan Gallagher, Mark McDaid, Christopher Mugan.
The u14s also travelled to Gaoth Dobhair for their first Division 2 championship match on Thursday evening. The lads took an early 2 point lead before the hosts replied with three goals in a 10 minute period. The lads rallied to reduce the deficit to 3 points at half time. However Gaoth Dobhair extended the lead in the second hald and won on a Gaoth Dobhair 5-10 1-10 Naomh Colmcille scoreline. Naomh Colmcille: Jamie Rodgers, Daniel Mugan, Jason Fitzpatrick, Mark Friel, Oran Downey, Brendan Barr, Oran Devine, Ryan O’Donnell, Keenan Diver, Bradley Doherty, Mark McDaid, Ryan Higgins, Jordan Gallagher, CJ Gibson, Caoimhin Marsh. Subs Sean Marsh, Rory Simmons.
The u12s travelled to Killygordon to take on Red Hughs in their first league match of the year. Red Hughs held a 6 point advantage after 20 minutes but the Naomh Colmcille boys and girls overturned this to lead after 40 minutes. However Red Hughs got the goals in the last 20 minutes to win the match. Naomh Colmcille: Sean Marsh, Shane Monaghan, Adam Callaghan, Ryan McNamee, Sean Devlin, Rory Simmons, Conor Logan, Oran Duffy, Ronan McKinley, Ronan McMackin, Joe Dolan, Bradan Hazlett, Jordan McHugh, Brendan O’Hagan, Christopher Mugan, Shannon Duggan, Sarah Hassett, Kevin Dolan, Matthew Whoriskey.

The seniors and Reserves were in action in Milford on Saturday evening. The reserves got the show on the road with a 6pm thrown in. Both the Seniors and Reserves were defeated by St Michaels away last Sunday. The Seniors were looking like getting their first win of their Division 1 campaign but concession of 2 sloppy goals late on robbed them of victory.
The Seniors have no game this weekend due to Donegal’s involvement in the Ulster Senior Championship against Derry. The Club wishes Michael Boyle and the rest of the Donegal team all the best in their match.
The Reserves are playing Gweedore at The Burn Road on Saturday evening with the starting time still to be confirmed. Please see local press closer to the time.

A huge thanks this week to Conal McCarron for presenting an excellent First Aid and Defibrillator training course to our underage coaches over two nights last week. We now have another 9 people trained on the use of the Defibrillator. Thanks Conal for your time and thanks to Don Gallagher for all the organising.
Well done to our Underage County players on their contributions in recent weeks. Caolan McDaid was part of the U17 team that have qualified for the final stages of the McGuigan Cup which will take place later in the summer. James McSharry and Enda McCormack were both playing in the Buncrana Cup qualifiers in Derry two weeks ago and both contributed scores in both victories and also progress to the Buncrana Cup finals in July. Well done boys.
We are currently seeking a Lotto seller in the Kilmacrennan area. Parents of any boy or girl, over 12 years of age, who would like to promote our lotto and earn some pocket money at the same time, should contact any committee member.
Our U12 boys had a busy few days with games against both St Michaels and Glenswilly. On Friday night two very impressive St Michael’s teams took the points in what were entertaining games with some fantastic displays of the skills of Gaelic Games. The B game was level on several occasions but the influence of Ciara McGarvey and Liam Toye swung the balance in favour of the team from Creeslough and Dunfanaghy. Termon had excellent displays from Lorcan Doherty in goals, Caoimhin Kelly and Manus O’Connell. In the A game Termon led by 4 at half time but 2 quick fire 3 pointers from St Michaels swung the game in their favour. Despite the best efforts of Mark Gallagher, Ben Lecky and Marty Steele, St Michaels held out for the win. On Monday night our boys made the short trip to Glenswilly and got back to winning ways with 2 victories. The B team laid down a marker early on with some fine scores and ran out victors by 6 points. The A game was a closer run affair. The teams were level at half time but an assured second half performance earned the Termon boys a 4 point victory. Next up its Fanad Gaels on Monday evening at the Burn Road with a 6.30pm throw in. Come along and support the boys. In the meantime coaching will take place this Wednesday evening 7pm at The Burn Road and not Friday as originally planned.
The U14s were defeated by 2 points in an exciting opening A Championship game on Wednesday evening last. Despite a late Adam McElwaine goal the Termon boys just could not find that final goal that was needed. A huge first half display looked to have put our boys in a commanding position but Buncrana never gave up and 2 goals in a 5 minute period halfway through the second half turned this game on its head. Next up for the boys it’s another home game, this time against Carndonagh this Friday at 7pm at the Burn Road. Again come along if you can to support this team.
Our U8s made their debut for 2014 in Falcarragh in wet conditions on Saturday last. Well done to all the boys and girls that travelled, many playing their first game at this level. This Saturday, our U10s play in their opening blitz of 2014 when they will travel to Downings. St Eunans, MacCumhaills and the hosts will provide the opposition. We will meet up at the Burn Road at 10:15 to be away at 10:25 sharp please. Anyone seeking a lift for their child is asked to contact Paddy on 0872175234 or Eddie on 0866082512. Best of luck to the boys and girls involved.
Coaching for U6s and U8s will continue at The Burn Road this Saturday 10.30-11.30. We hope to see all our boys and girls in attendance as we have a home U8 blitz on Saturday week.
Remember every child involved in U8s and U10s should have a gumshield and a bottle of water with them to coaching and games.
Thanks to everyone that have registered their children for the 2014 season so far. To date over 200 children have completed the registration process .You can still register your child and we would ask those not yet registered to do so ASAP so that all insurance requirements are in place to allow your child to play Gaelic games. We have set May 31st as the deadline for registering your child for 2014. All children boys and girls from U6 – U18 must be registered to be eligible to play and to attend coaching. Registration rates are the same as last year but with a special introductory price for new recruits. The first game saw our B team put in a fantastic performance as they came away with a 3 point win. From our debut making keeper Lauren Russell, to our free scoring full forward Ethan Doherty and every player in between the performances were immense.
The A team also put in brilliant performance and also went home through the Gap with the points after a hard fought 2 point victory. A personal tally of 1-3 from Paddy Doherty going a long way in making that possible.
Monday evening saw the first home game of the 12’s season as the boys from Gaoth Dobhair paid a visit. The A team played first and after a poor first half rallied in the second to record a 3 point win on a scoreline of 5-9 to 5-6. Under 14
Convoy were the visitors to the Bridge on Wednesday evening last. A good start from them out them in front and they held a two point lead at half time.

St. Michael’s piled forward from the kick out and won the game with the last kick out from the boot of Anthony Browne. Anthony finished the game with a personal tally of four goals and a point on his comeback from injury. A good team effort from the Bridge.
