A DONEGAL band has been selected to perform in Disneyland Paris this July.
This opportunity comes after Banna Ceoil Chloich Cheann Fhaola submitted a video of their performance to Disney last year.
Receiving the good news that they were selected at Christmas, the band was given the opportunity to experience life as a Disney performer this July.
Now in the final stages of planning the trip of a life time, the band have been busy preparing for their big performance.
Rehearsing songs like Beauty and the Beast, Part of this World, The Lion King and Under The Sea to name a few, they are scheduled to march down Main Street Disney on Wednesday, July 3.
Chairperson of the band, Gerry O Donnell said the band are a “credit” to the parish.
“The commitment each member has given to the band in recent years is incredible.
“The band members are working so hard to learn their music and drill routine.
“The amount of work our teachers and committee are putting into this, to make this the most memorable once in a lifetime trip for all band members, is to be commended,” he said.
The band is reining All-Ireland champions in Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann Competition and will travel to Wexford in August to retain their All Ireland title.
Band members, committee and parents will travel to Paris on Monday, July 1 for 3 nights to mark this wonderful occasion for band members young and old.
The band would like to invite everyone to Ionad Naomh Fionnán on Thursday, June 27 at 8pm to showcase their Disney programme to family, friends and the community.
