A YOUNG Cloughaneely woman added some colour to the annual Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show in the RDS Arena with an outfit which wowed the celebrity judges on Blossom Hill Ladies’ Day, yesterday, August 7.

Aoibheann McMonagle from Falcarragh won the ‘Most Colourful Outfit’ walking away with a 14-inch ChromeBook laptop and an Envy printer courtesy of Hewlett Packard.

The daughter of Enda and Marie McMonagle is a national school teacher in Swords and lives in Rathmines. The former Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola (PPC) student has three siblings – Colm, Ailbhe and Michéal.

As the premier style event of the year, Blossom Hill Ladies’ Day is a fun-filled event which brings out the inner fashionista in all the gorgeous ladies vying for the title of Best Dressed Lady. The best dressed lady walked away with an incredible prize of a shopping trip to New York City worth up to €8,000.

There were also fantastic prizes for other categories including the ‘Most Creative Hat’, ‘Elegance is an Attitude’ and ‘Highly Commended Outfit.

Fashion expert Brendan Courtney hosted the event and made each and every entrant feel like a supermodel while he chatted to them on the band lawn stage at the RDS.
Brendan was joined by fellow judge, London based stylist Angela Scanlon and Triona Gannon, general manager of the g Hotel.

Philip Treacy, world famous Irish milliner and guest of the 5 star g Hotel oversaw the judging of the g Hotel Best Dressed Man.
