Clohessy named as MacCumhaills Club Person of the Year

Seán MacCumhaills proudly celebrated another fantastic year at the club’s Annual Awards Night on Friday at Jackson’s Hotel.

The Twin Towns club recognised the outstanding dedication, performances, and achievements of their players and volunteers across all codes.

Player of the Year: Dougie McDaid
Young Player of the Year: Evan Sproule

Senior Hurling
Player of the Year: Aaron Toner
Young Player of the Year: Jacob Malone

Senior Ladies Football
Player of the Year: Roisin Lillis
Young Player of the Year: Molly Gillespie

Third Team Football
Player of the Year: Anthony Gallagher
Young Player of the Year: Conor Murphy

Club Person of the Year
Nathan Clohessy

The club said: “Nathan is a truly deserving winner of this year’s Club Person of the Year award. He is always on hand to volunteer, support, and assist with as many teams as he can. His dedication, reliability, and genuine passion for the club shine through in everything he does, making him an invaluable member of the Seán MacCumhaills community.”

A special mention went to the club’s Third Team, who capped off a brilliant season by winning the Senior C Championship—a fantastic achievement and well-deserved recognition for their hard work and commitment.
