Fianna Fáil has added Claudia Kennedy to the list of candidates to contest next month’s local elections in the Stranorlar constituency.
The National Constituencies Committee for Fianna Fáil added Claudia Kennedy to the list of candidates to contest the local elections this May.
A full time Secondary School Teacher in Finn Valley College, Stranorlar, Claudia Kennedy is hoping to ensure that St Mary’s Primary School, Stranorlar is granted all funding from Government to proceed with their new school.
“We have been granted a site with full planning permission and we are at the design phase however, there is no funding available from Government for us to build our new school.Our school St Mary’s primary school has been fighting this issue for the past 18 months to be included on the Government’s Five Year School Building Plan. Our local primary school has 468 students with 32 staff.
“As a first time candidate I am determined to bring a new energy, vibrancy and voice to local politics,” said Ms Kennedy.
“I am committed to getting your voice heard about real issues that effect you, your family and your community,” concluded Ms Kennedy.
