Civic reception for All Ireland finalists

ALL Ireland finalists Bonagee United Ladies are set to be honoured with a Civic Reception.

At a recent Letterkenny Milford Municipal District meeting, Mayor Cllr Kevin Bradley proposed that a civic reception be held for the ladies who reached the final of the FAI Women’s amateur Cup Final.

The talented group suffered a 6-1 defeat in the final to Terenure Rangers on Saturday but their journey to the final, led by Manager Chris McNulty, has been a source of inspiration for all other football teams in the county.

Speaking while proposing the reception, Cllr Bradley said, “I think we should acknowledge Bonagee ladies and hold a reception for them.

“It was fantastic for them to get to the final. Getting to a national final is a huge achievement so it would be nice to acknowledge that,” said Cllr Bradley. The motion was supported by Cllr Donal Coyle who also voiced his support and pride in the ladies reaching an all Ireland final. A date for the reception will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
