Ciarán Thompson has been nominated for the GAA.ie Player of the Week following Sunday’s performance in the win over Derry.
Thompson came up with some vital scores in the second half as he played a huge role in Donegal coming back from eight points down with 15 minutes to play to win by 1-22 to 1-19 in Fr Tierney Park.
The Naomh Conaill man top scored for Donegal with six points in total, including two two-pointers, one from play and one from a free.
Mayo’s Ryan O’Donoghue and Armagh man Barry McCambridge are also nominated for the Player of the Week.
O’Donoghue kicked nine scores as Mayo defeated Kerry in MacHale Park, while McCambridge scored an important goal in Armagh’s win over Dublin in the Athletic Grounds.
