NORTH West Simon (Donegal) is overwhelmed at the amount of money raised during the recent church gate collections which took place throughout Donegal, on Saturday, 27th and Sunday, July 28.
The €8,175 raised with more collections to take place, will go directly to sustain the services provided to prevent homelessness occurring throughout Donegal.
“To the many Volunteers that came forward to help ensure that the weekend collection was a success and to all those who kindly contributed towards the collection, without your help and support this result would not have been possible.
“North West Simon provides support to those at risk of homelessness throughout the North West. While the main priority of our work is to assist all Service Users move out of homelessness, in doing this we work closely with each individual to help them overcome the many other difficulties faced by them such as isolation, loneliness, poverty, literacy, addiction, health and welfare issues.
“It is our aim to help all our Service users to rebuild their lives and move out of homelessness to a home that they can call their own. Thank you to the Volunteers and the support of the people from Co. Donegal for helping to sustain our much needed services,” a spokesperson for the charity said.
