Charles Ward is to contest the next general election for 100% Redress Party.
Mr Ward, a healthcare worker from Arranmore Island now living in Drumkeen with his wife and their four children, knows first-hand the struggles facing families in Donegal.
As a homeowner impacted by defective building materials, he has experienced the immense personal and financial toll that this crisis has brought upon thousands of families.
A party spokesperson said: “Charles’ campaign goes beyond the redress issue.
“He understands that Donegal faces numerous challenges including a worsening housing crisis, mental health concerns, gaps in education and an overstretched health service.
“The county also struggles with aging infrastructure which affects daily life and economic growth.
“Agriculture and fisheries, vital to the local economy, are facing increasing pressures and these sectors need stronger representation and support at a national level.”
Committed to tackling these pressing issues, Mr Ward plans to bring attention to the needs of Donegal, a county that has long felt forgotten.
“His deep connection to the community and his dedication to improving quality of life make him the right choice to fight for real change in Donegal and beyond,” the spokesperson concluded.
Mr Ward will now join Fine Gael candidates Senator Nikki Bradley and John McNulty, Fianna Fáil candidates Minister Charlie McConalogue and Pat ‘the Cope’ Gallagher, Aontú candidate Mary T Sweeney, Independent TD Thomas Pringle and Sinn Féin Deputies Pádraig Mac Lochlainn and Pearse Doherty who were also selected to represent their parties in the Donegal constituency at the next general election.
