Money  stolen during a robbery on an antique shop in Letterkenny has been donated to the Little Blue Heroes charity.

The cash, totalling €1,170, was discovered on a member of a Romanian gang who stole around €30,000 in cash and jewellery from Mourne Antiques on the town’s Main Street on January 18, 2020.

The gang of six had entered the premises on the day in question and while one of them distracted the assistant on duty, another person managed to remove property from a safe in the rear of the shop.
