CHRISTINA WARD, a Leitirmacaward native, now living in Ramelton, is organising a special charity fundraiser in McCafferty’s Bar, Leitirmacaward on Saturday, March 28.
The evening of entertainment, which gets underway at 7pm, is in aid of the Donegal Hospice and Oncology Day Services at Letterkenny University Hospital.
Christina is organising the event with the help of friends and family.
A lineup of musical acts have kindly offered their services free of charge. Acts include Michaela Bonner, Ben Craig, Declan and Jerry McTaggart, John McMonagle, Eddie Gallagher and many more.
And the staff at McCafferty’s Bar have also been very supportive of Christina’s efforts.
“They’ve been brilliant,” said Christina, who added that McCafferty’s will also be providing finger food on the night.
“It’s a great venue and it should be a great night.”
Marley’s Coaches have kindly sponsored a coach from Milford to Leitirmacaward to accommodate those planning to travel from the Milford area.
“We would like to raise as much as we can get for the hospice and the oncology day service. Hopefully there will be big numbers on the night.”
