A group of 50 swimmers are set to take on a spectacular swim in Sheephaven Bay this weekend to raise money for two very good causes.
The group, consisting of local athletes and members of the Gartan Swimmers Group, will take on a 3.5-kilometre route across one of the most testing but stunning swims available in the county.
Beginning at Duncap Head, the swim will traverse the choppy and open waters of Sheephaven Bay – finishing at the Portnablagh Pier.
The swim starts at 9.45am on Saturday at Duncap Head with the first finisher expected back at the pier at around 11.15am.
There will be a barbecue, prizegiving and live music at race headquarters.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the RNLI Lifeboats Donegal and Donegal Hospice charities.
