CCTV footage is being examined after a woman was attacked by two men in Letterkenny.
The incident took place last week in the Rosemount Lane area on Tuesday, March 16, between 4.30pm and 5.15pm. Details were only released by gardaí on Tuesday.
The woman was walking from Main Street in the direction of Pearse Road when she met two males walking in the opposite direction.
The men started to punch the woman in the stomach and head before making off in the direction of Pearse Road.
Gardaí have said the male perpetrators were believed to have been wearing masks or balaclavas. They are looking at CCTV footage in a bid to identify the males.
The woman received medical treatment and managed to make her way home.
