CCTV is being examined after a man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries sustained in an assault carried out out by a group of youths.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which occurred in the area of Market Square, Letterkenny, on Friday, November 15, shortly after 7pm.
A man was approached by a group of youths who proceeded to assault him. The injured man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed the incident to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100. CCTV from the area is being examined, but we are still always anxious to receive any available dash-cam footage. If anyone was in the area who can supply us with footage we ask them to please do so.”
