Cawley strikes late as Harps defeat Wexford

David Cawley struck a late winner as Finn Harps came from behind to beat Wexford at Ferrycarrig Park tonight.

Harps were poor in the first half and Cian O’Malley scored in the 13th minute for the home side.

Wexford had other chances to add to their tally but it was 1-0 at the break.

Harps equalised three minutes after the restart when Patrick Ferry’s powerful shot found the net.

Neither side created much after that until David Cawley scored in the 89 minute.

Darren Murphy’s Harps held on to collect a third victory of the season.
