Culdaff widow welcomes tougher road safety legislation


A GRIEVING Culdaff widow whose husband was killed almost ten years ago ago in a traffic collision has welcomed the tightening of road safety legislation, including measures to take blood samples from drivers injured in crashes.


Donegal farmers to get over €20 million


MINISTER Joe McHugh has welcomed news that farmers in County Donegal are to receive almost €21 million under the 2014 Single Farm Payment Scheme. Some 7,023 farms are to benefit from payment which begins today, December 1.


Donegal fog warning issued


THE Road Safety Authority (RSA) today (Wednesday) is renewing its appeal for road users to be aware of the dangers posed by dense fog following an updated ORANGE Weather Warning from Met Éireann forecasting fog across Donegal Cavan, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Westmeath, Meath, Leitrim and Roscommon today until tomorrow morning.


HSE Donegal Mental Health Services Awareness Fair


The HSE Donegal Mental Health Service are holding a Health and Mental Well Being Awareness Fair on Wednesday, December 10 in the Mill Park Hotel in Donegal Town from 7 pm until 10pm. The doors open at 6:30pm and admission is free.
