DONEGAL manager Paddy Carr has allayed fears that Shaun Patton could be ruled out with a long-term injury.
Patton is currently sidelined with a leg injury, and there were concerns that it might be serious and restrict his playing time considerably in 2023.
Carr didn’t put a time frame on Patton’s recovery, or whether or not he will feature in the Dr McKenna Cup, but he says the St Eunan’s goalkeeper remains a key member of the squad.
“Shaun is looking after an injury.
“Initially we had reason to be concerned about it but I don’t think we do now and he’s recovering.”
