Carndonagh got revenge on MacCumhaill’s to win the Intermediate Cup in O’Donnell Park.
MacCumhaill’s started on the front foot with an early Shane McMenamin goal but the Inishowen men hit back with county star Luke White hitting two frees and blasting a penalty home before going off injured as they went a point up inside 15 minutes.
Donal Doherty and Cian Doherty also hit points but Ger Cunningham’s goal put MacCumhaill’s 2-4 to 1-6 ahead five minutes before half-time.
A mistake from the MacCumhaill’s puck out gifted Donal Doherty a goal chance and he took it in style in between two more Carn points as they went into the break four points up.
And they put in a matured second half performance to keep their opponents at bay, with James Monagle (2), Donal Doherty and a Cathal Doherty free all responding any time Lee Henderson pointed from frees as the Inishowen men kept their four point lead.
