Donegal man Jonny Carlin started for Wicklow as they pulled off a major shock by beating Westmeath in the Leinster Championship today in Portlaoise.
Carlin – who has previously played for Red Hugh’s and Setanta – is in his first year with the Garden County and played at wing-forward.
Wicklow won by 2-9 to 1-11 and will now take on Kildare in the Leinster quarter-finals.
