CARL McHugh and Plymouth Argyle are on their way to Wembley following Peter Hartley’s last minute winner over Portsmouth at Home Park this evening.
The sides shared a 2-2 draw at Fratton Park in the first leg and it appeared as if the second leg was going to extra-time before Hartley’s late, late intervention.
The Leitir man played for Bradford City in a League cup final at Wembley a few years back but on this occasion a place in the Sky Bet League One is the carrot via the play-offs.
It’s only the second time in their long history that the Pilgrims will play at Wembley.
Their opponents in the League Two play-off final will be either Accrington Stanley or Wimbledon who play their second leg on Wednesday night next.
