A LETTERKENNY man charged with careless driving causing the death of a woman in Raphoe two years ago, will go on trial at Letterkenny Circuit Court next month.
Patrick Quigley (33) of 11 Windmill View, Letterkenny was before Letterkenny District Court on Monday.
He is charged with careless driving causing death at Guesthouse End Street, Raphoe on March 2, 2022.
Mother of three, Theresa Hepburn died in hospital nine days later as a result of her injuries.
Ms Hepburn of Castle Grove, Raphoe and formerly Mountain Top Letterkenny, had been out walking when she was struck by a vehicle being driven by Patrick Quigley.
The book of evidence was served on Quigley and Judge Éiteáin Cunningham gave him the alibi warning.
Sgt Jim Collins said they had directed the release of interview tapes relating to the case to his defence solicitor Rory O’Brien.
The judge approved legal aid for two counsel in the case which was adjourned until the start of the next sitting of the Circuit Court on June 11.
