Finn Harps 1 Treaty United 0
Finn Harps returned to winning ways thanks to a late Tony McNamee goal against Treaty United at Finn Park.
The hosts were much the better team and despite a few chances in the first half from Mark Mbuli, Matthew Makinson and David Cawley, they didn’t threaten ‘keeper Corey Chambers as it was scoreless at the break.
Both sides had a couple of chances after the restart, with Noe Baba’s volley coming closest until McNamee struck the winner in the 80th minute, much like the reverse fixture down in the Markets Field.
It came after Tim Hiemer’s long ball forward and Sean O’Donnell headed on with the ball coming to the captain who took a touch on the left side of the box before slotting the ball low into the far corner.
The win puts Finn Harps up to third and they take on Bray Wanderers away on Monday.
