Cannonball 4X4 road trip set to roll into Donegal for the first time

FOR the first time ever, the adrenaline-fueled Cannonball 4X4 Overland Adventure is set to blaze a trail across Donegal’s rugged landscapes, offering participants a thrilling mix of off-road adventure and scenic beauty.

This exciting event, running from November 15 to 16, will bring drivers through some of Ireland’s most breath-taking cross-country and coastal routes, including the iconic Wild Atlantic Way and Glenveagh National Park.

This fourth annual Cannonball Overland Adventure will make Donegal its playground, with its rugged mountains, tranquil lakes, and unspoiled beaches setting the stage for an unforgettable journey.

Basecamp for this year’s Cannonball event will be the stunning Redcastle Hotel, nestled on the scenic Inishowen Peninsula.

Over the two days, participants will savour Donegal’s renowned cuisine, from fresh seafood to the award-winning chowder.

The carefully curated 4×4 route will guide participants through mountain passes, coastal roads, and charming towns and villages that highlight the magic of Donegal.

The event will feature a dazzling array of luxury and off-road vehicles, including Bentley Bentaygas, Defenders, Ford Raptors, and other high-performance models like Range Rovers, Audi Q8s, Porsche Cayennes, and more. Last year’s line-up showcased an impressive collection of Range Rover SVRs, Land Rover Defenders, and Jeep Wranglers, and this year promises even more.

Beyond the high-powered vehicles, Cannonball offers participants a unique off-road experience, complete with “green laning” and other surprises along the way.

The camaraderie between drivers and the shared sense of adventure makes this road trip a memorable experience for all involved.

Sponsored by Karl Goodwin Motors and Majestic Ireland, the event is open for registration at www.cannonball.ie.
