Callaghan hails a great win for Setanta

SATURDAY was an historic day for the Setanta Hurling Club and their members streamed onto the pitch at the final whistle.

They won the Ulster Junior title last season, and claimed that honour as favourites.

This season they have been underdogs against both Ballinascreen and Middletown, but they have found ways to win, and now they have another provincial decider to prepare for at a higher grade.

Mark Callaghan had a strong outing at corner-back and was chuffed with the win.

“It’s absolutely brilliant to get the club this far.

“It could have went either way at the end but we will take it all day long.”
