Call for action over anti-social behaviour

By Emma Ryan

DONEGAL County Council has been urged to fix a broken fence at the back of Cashel Park in Letterkenny due to ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area.

The issue was raised by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh at the recent meeting of the Letterkenny Milford Municipal District.

He explained there is an ongoing issue with anti-social behaviour by teenagers in the residential area, and a family in the area has been subject to abuse and had their property damaged.

Cllr Kavanagh said fixing the fence would send out a message to those carrying out this behaviour that it will not be tolerated.

The motion was seconded by Cllr Gerry McMonagle who said no family should have to endure abuse and urged the council to act quickly to prevent these incidents from occurring.
