The Senior Football Championship quarter-final clash between Naomh Conaill and St Eunan’s is the big game of a busy weekend in the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Club Championships.
There was only one point between the sides in last year’s SFC Final when Naomh Conaill secured the Dr Maguire Cup.
They will both have aspirations of getting their hands on the silverware this term, but they must first get past a challenging quarter-final.
Championship favourites Kilcar take on Termon on Saturday night and Martin McHugh’s team are expected to prevail.
Glenswilly missed out on a spot in last year’s semi-final, and they will be hoping to go one better in 2016, when they take on Sean MacCumhaill’s.
The remaining quarter-final sees Dungloe and Malin going head-to-head, and they will both fancy their chances of progressing to the last four.
There are also two Relegation Play-offs down for decision with Four Masters facing Glenfin, while Killybegs and Ardara meet in Dunkineely.
The four Intermediate Championship quarter-finals will take place this weekend, as will the Intermediate Relegation Play-Off between Buncrana and Naomh Colmcille.
The Junior ‘A’ Championship finalists will also be decided, with Red Hugh’s facing Naomh Padraig, Muff tonight in Convoy at 8pm, while Downings take on Letterkenny Gaels in the second semi-final in Dunfanaghy on Saturday.
