Bus stop users concerned for their safety

Letterkenny Councillor Gerry McMonagle is once again calling on the Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), which has responsibility for the upkeep of Bus Stops along National Routes, to tackle the ongoing issues with a collapsing footpath and overgrown briars and grass at the Manor bus stop on the N13 Road.
He said: “I raised this issue with council a couple of months ago after it was brought to my attention by regular users of the bus route. They are concerned for their safety and well being with the grass and briars growing out of control and the footpath subsiding. They are afraid that someone may trip and fall into the drain beside the bus stop.
“Donegal Roads Section has also contacted TII but as of today nothing has been done. I am now calling again on the TII local office to carry out an inspection of this Bus Stop and do the works necessary to make it safe and fit for purpose without further delay.”
