PREPARATIONS are well underway for the annual Christmas fundraiser in Burtonport which raises much needed funds for the annual festival.
The Burtonport Nite at the Races takes place in the Lobster Pot on Monday, December 29 – and horses are now on sale.
This year’s fundraiser takes on a little extra significance – the funds raised will go towards the 2026 Burtonport Festival which will celebrate its 50th anniversary next summer.
Horses are available at €10 each from the Lobster Pot or from members of the festival committee.
This event always attracts a capacity attendance and the organisers are looking forward to a full house again.
Meanwhile the Burtonport Festival committee will have a new 2026 calendar available in the coming days.
It will be free of charge and available in local business premises from next weekend.
