Burt too good as Gaels drop down to Junior football

Burt retained their Intermediate status with a comfortable victory over Gaeil Leitir Ceanainn in Convoy.

Burt made a great start to the match and scored 1-2 without reply with Conor Gartland grabbing the goal.

The Hibernian Park men were in control after that although Conor Walker and Conor McBrearty did kick points for Gaels late in the half.

Gaels had a great chance of a goal two minutes after the restart but Ronan Frain drove his shot over the bar.

Burt added points from Darren Bradley and Shayne Gallagher before Keith McColgan bagged a goal.

Conor McBrearty missed a penalty to compound a frustrating day for the Gaels.
