Burt strike late to book All-Ireland semi-final spot

Aidan McKinney scored a dramatic last-gasp winner as Burt defeated Tomas MacCurtains today to reach the All-Ireland Junior Hurling Semi-Final.

Burt started the game well and Kieran Brady’s goal helped them into a 1-4 to 0-5 lead in the 20th minute.

However, Tomas MacCurtains hit seven points on the trot before the break.

The London champions were 0-15 to 1-7 ahead after 42 minutes but then Liam McKinney scored five points on the trot.

Shaun Lowry nudged MacCurtains back in front but that man Liam McKinney replied with two more for Burt.

Kevin O’Donoghue levelled matters again but then Aidan McKinney won the match at the death for Enda McDermott’s team.
