Burt 1-13 St Eunan’s 0-13
Burt held off a second half fightback from St Eunan’s in a game of two halves to take the U21-A Hurling Championship title at a very windy Centre of Excellence in Convoy.
Burt flew out of the blocks with Conor Gartland’s goal the first score of the game while Liam McKinney hit eight points as they went in 1-12 to 0-5 up at the break with a strong wind at their backs.
But Gartland would hit their only point of the second half as the Letterkenny men fought back with Peter Kelly hitting six points after the restart.
And with a goal in it coming into added time, Paul Burns’ side defended well to hold on.
