A MAN who died as a result of a work accident in Buncrana yesterday has been named locally as Anthony Devlin.
Mr Devlin, of Dun Na Rí, Slavery, Buncrana, was involved in a work accident on Tuesday evening and later passed away at the scene.
The father of two, who was in his 30s, was very well known in the area.
His funeral arrangements have been confirmed. His remains will be reposing at his parents’ home in Sarida, Ballymagan, Buncrana from 11am on Thursday, July 11.
Funeral from there at 10am on Saturday, July 13, going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 11am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Family time from 10pm to 11am each night and on the morning of the funeral.
Mr Devlin will be sadly missed and never forgotten by his loving fiancé Grainne, his cherished sons Joe and Odhran, his loving parents Philip and Una, his sisters Tara, Tina and Leanne, brother-in-law Ian, his granny Annie Devlin, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and his many friends and the wider family circle.
Meanwhile, gardaí have said the Health Safety Authority are conducting an investigation into the workplace accident.
