Buncrana two pointers help them defeat Gaoth Dobhair

Gaoth Dobhair 1-9 Buncrana 0-19

Buncrana’s long range shooting helped them take a deserved first win in Division 1 against Gaoth Dobhair in Magheragallon on Saturday evening.

The Scarvey men had the breeze in their favour in the first half and they used that to their full advantage, hitting six two pointers through John Campbell (4), Dylan Mulholland and Peter McLaughlin.

Eoin de Búrca hit the net for Gaoth Dobhair and a trio of Ethan Harkin points left them down by 1-7 to 0-15 at the break.

The wind didn’t stay as severe but the hosts failed to use it to their advantage as they hit just two second half points, while Sean Doherty, Mulholland and a two point free from ‘keeper Sean Parker meant the visitors were going back to Inishowen with the two points.
