DRIVERS and car enthusiasts are in for an unforgettable experience when the Bumblebee1000 Northwest Adventure roars into town on March 11.
Being held in aid of Little Blue Heroes, this year’s run starts in Barberstown Castle in Kildare.
It will though have a very distinct Donegal focus, with a motorcade of exotic machines and supercars snaking their way up through Cavan and Monaghan.
The parade of impressive hardware arrives at Supermacs, Donegal Service Station, at 4pm on Saturday March 11 before crossing the finish line at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny, at 5.30pm.
Engines will start again at the Radisson on Sunday morning, 9.30am, before stopping for a pit stop at Georgie Sweeney’s Spar Express at 10.30am.
The vehicles will be at Fanad Head Lighthouse for noon before a lunch stop at the Donegal Boardwalk Bar and Restaurant at 1pm.
A spokesperson for the Bumblebee1000 Northwest Adventure said, “There will be Porsches, Lamborghinis, Mclarens and also the current kings of the German autobahn, the understated Audi RS turbos, which are capable of crossing Germany in an afternoon.
“Entrance to our stops is always free and all donations in aid of the Little Blue Heroes are welcome. We hope to see you at one of our stops, rain or sunshine. Check our social media to see the events unfold with photos of what is happening all weekend.
“The event sponsors are StarGas, Barrog Healthcare, Supermacs, Smithtown Auto Repairs, Daltech, DHL, Mammoncompetitions.com and Precision Graphics.”
