A YOUNG dancer from Donegal has recently been cast as one of Coca Cola’s professional performers for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London this summer.
Out of thousands of hopefuls and months of auditions, Brian Gillespie is one of 72 performers who will be participating in numerous sketches and routines at various stages throughout the Olympics.
Having just graduated with a degree in Dance and Theatre, being able to demonstrate his ability on a world-wide stage is a fantastic opportunity for Brian.
He will be performing for huge crowds with vast media coverage and will also be acting as a face for the mega brand Coca-Cola.
The 21-year-old from Newtowncunningham was first introduced to dance when he began taking lessons at Quigley’s School of Irish Dance in Letterkenny.
Coming from a family of dancers and performers, he was surrounded by a culture of music and his talent was nurtured.
He was also trained by Dynamic Waves Performing Arts Academy where he was given the chance to explore creatively and experiment with different dance styles. Brian credits early encouragement from these organisations for his passion for what he does.
He has a support network from his family who he has said have played a huge part in his success and drive over the years.
