Gardaí in Carrigans are investigating the sudden death of a man following a workplace incident at a premises in Carrigans.
A man in his late 70s was fatally injured when his car collided a parked car and plant machinery on the premises.
Gardaí and Emergency Services were called to the scene shortly after 8.30am this morning and an examination of the scene is being carried out by Gardaí. No other injuries were reported and enquiries are ongoing.
The health and Safety Authority and the local Coroner have been notified.
