Brave Setanta well beaten in All-Ireland semi-final

Setanta were outclassed and outgunned by an impressive Kilkenny and Leinster winning side in Thomastown at Páirc Esler.

The Cross/Killygordon men were hit for 5-14 in the first half, while Gerard Gilmore hit 1-2 and Josh Cronolly McGee, Ruairi Campbell, Declan Coulter and Danny Cullen each got a point in the opening half.

Campbell and a Gilmore free were all the Ulster champions could hit after the restart as Thomastown hit another 1-12 in the second half to advance to the All-Ireland Intermediate final.
