BOMANY schoolboy Brady Murray who recently made his First Communion has donated the money he was gifted to Donegal Down Syndrome.
The kind-hearted nine-year-old, whose older brother Matthew is Down Syndrome, wanted to give back to the charity that has provided great support to his family through the years.
However, Brady isn’t the first sibling to do his bit for charity as in 2021 Brady’s sister Chloe donated her First Communion money to the Bluestack Foundation.
Speaking to the Donegal News about the recent donation, his mother Michelle said Brady donated €270.
“He bought himself a toy, he bought his brother a toy and he donated the rest,” Michelle said.
“He gets more back from doing that. He was chuffed with himself and he got a certificate for the donation which he now has up in his room.
“Donegal Down Syndrome is brilliant for us and the family, they are really supportive.”
Taking to Facebook following the donation, Donegal Down Syndrome said it was a wonderful surprise and that Brady was an amazing young man.
Brady also made Donegal Down Syndrome a handmade thank you card that read, “Thank you for all you do for Matthew and for my family”.
