Donegal manager Declan Bonner has freshened up his panel ahead of the Dr McKenna Cup campaign that will start in January, and some familiar faces will don the green and gold again next year.
Jason McGee and Michael Carroll who opted out of Bonner’s squad last year are expected to be back for the 2019 season, while Eoin McHugh is also likely to make a return.
Odhran McFadden-Ferry has been rewarded for his stellar club championship campaign for Gaoth Dobhair with a call-up, while Kieran Gallagher (Naomh Conaill) who starred for the Donegal minor team in 2018 will also get a chance to show what he is made of.
Lorcan Connor (Downings) who was a trusted forward for Bonner at minor and Under 21 grade is believed to be in consideration, as is Ciaran Diver who had a good season for Moville in 2018.
It is also expected three players eligible for the Donegal Under 20 panel – Aaron Doherty (Naomh Columba), Paddy Dolan (Convoy), and Peadar Mogan (St Naul’s) – will link up with the senior squad for the start of the season.
